  43. Eh. Sorry, that's not the way it works...
  44. The hardware doesn't "count" the colours you use. So even if you only use a
  45. few colours on a 32 colour screen the hardware assumes that you use all 32
  46. colours.
  47. To tell AMOS that your sprites are in only 4 colours you have to grab them
  48. from a four colour screen.
  49. The sprites will then use the folowing colours in the palette:

  51. Sprite   Colours
  52.  8+1      17-19
  53.  2+3      21-23
  54.  4+5      25-27
  55.  6+7      29-31
  56.  
  57. For some reason Europress thought it very clever to rename sprite 0 to sprite
  58. 8... So even though the hardware refers to the sprites as 0-7 then AMOS refers
  59. to the hardware sprites as 1-8 where sprite 8 is reserved for the mouse
  60. pointer when it is shown.
